Those who do not believe, say: "When we and our fathers have turned to dust, how shall we be raised again? 67 We were told about this and so were our forefathers before us. But these are no more than fairy tales that have been recounted from ancient times." 68 Say, "Roam across the earth and observe what was the end of the sinful ones." 69 And grieve thou not over them nor be straitened because of that which they plot. 70 They say, 'When shall this promise come to pass, if you speak the truth?' 71 Say thou: belike close behind you may be some of that which ye would hasten on. 72 Surely thy Lord is bountiful to men; but most of them are not thankful. 73 But, verily, thy Sustainer knows all that their hearts conceal as well as all that they bring into the open: 74 There is nothing of the hidden in the heavens and the earth that is not recorded in the luminous Book. 75 Lo! this Qur'an narrateth unto the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they differ. 76 And indeed it is a guidance and a mercy for the Muslims. 77 Lo! thy Lord will judge between them of His wisdom, and He is the Mighty, the Wise. 78 So rely upon Allah; indeed, you are upon the clear truth. 79 Surely you do not make the dead to hear, and you do not make the deaf to hear the call when they go back retreating. 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ When the sentence will have been passed against them, We shall bring forth beastly brutes from the earth who will torment them, for men certainly do not believe Our signs. 82
