Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
