Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 excusing or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
