Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 'This is the Day of Decision; We have joined you with the ancients; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
