Al-Furqaan 4 of 6
We verily gave Moses the Scripture and placed with him his brother Aaron as henchman. 35 We told them, "Both of you go to the people who have rejected Our revelations." We completely destroyed these unbelievers. 36 And the people of Nooh – when they denied the Noble Messengers, We drowned them and made them a sign for mankind; and We have kept prepared a painful punishment for the unjust. 37 And the 'Aad and the Thamud and the dwellers of the Rass and many generations in-between. 38 And We illustrated examples to each one of them; and ruining them, annihilated them all. 39 And indeed they have visited the township upon which had rained a harmful rain; so were they not seeing it? In fact, they never expected to be raised again. 40 And when they see you, [O Muhammad], they take you not except in ridicule, [saying], "Is this the one whom Allah has sent as a messenger? 41 "He indeed would well-nigh have misled us from our gods, had it not been that we were constant to them!" - Soon will they know, when they see the Penalty, who it is that is most misled in Path! 42 Hast thou seen him who has taken his caprice to be his god? Wilt thou be a guardian over them? 43 Do you think that most of them can hear or understand? They are like cattle, no, they are further astray from the Path. 44

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
