The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the angels who drag forth vehemently. 1 By those who gently draw out (the souls of the blessed); 2 and by [the clouds] that swim serenely and 3 by the angels who hasten along 4 by those that direct an affair! 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 And the following event will come after it. 7 hearts will undergo terrible trembling, 8 Unable to lift their gaze. 9 They say: "Shall we go back to our original state 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They say: "It would in that case, be a return with loss!" 12 It will be only one scaring shout, 13 and behold! They will all come out in the open. 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 Behold, thy Lord did call to him in the sacred valley of Tuwa:- 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 And say to him: "Would you purify yourself (from the sin of disbelief by becoming a believer)", 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 Then he shewed him the great sign. 20 In response, he denied and disobeyed. 21 then he turned away hastily, 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 Saying, "I am your Lord, Most High". 24 Allah therefore seized him, in the punishment of this world and the Hereafter. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26
