The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
46 verses, revealed in Mecca after The News (Al-Naba') before Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [angels] who extract with violence 1 And who softly release the soul. (Of the believer) 2 And who glide with ease. 3 and yet overtake [one another] with swift overtaking: 4 and by the angels who regulate the affairs, (you will certainly be resurrected). 5 On the Day when a violent convulsion will convulse [the world], 6 The second blowing of the Trumpet follows it (and everybody will be raised up), 7 Hearts on that day shall palpitate, 8 Their eyes humbled. 9 They shall say, 'What, are we being restored as we were before? 10 After having turned to carious bones?" 11 They said: That then would be a return occasioning loss. 12 Surely it will need but one shout, 13 and they will be upon the surface of the earth (alive). 14 Have you received the story of Moses? 15 When his Lord called to him in Tuwa's holy vale? 16 "Go to Pharaoh. Indeed, he has transgressed. 17 and say [unto him,] 'Art thou desirous of attaining to purity? 18 Then I will guide you to your Lord that you may come to fear Him.'" 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 but he denied it and refused [the faith]. 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered his people and cried aloud, 23 “I am the supreme lord of you all.” 24 So Allah seized him with the punishment of the hereafter and the former life. 25 Indeed in this is a lesson for one who fears. 26

(1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. (3) وقف جائز مع تساوي أولوية الوقف والوصل، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال النصف للنصف. (4) وقف جائز مع الوصل أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلث. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
