Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the stars are scattered, 2 And when the seas are made to flow forth, 3 and when the graves are overturned 4 A soul will [then] know what it has put forth and kept back. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 Who created you, shaped you, and made you well-proportioned, 7 In whatever shape He will He could surely have fashioned you. 8 Rather, you belied the Recompense. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 noble, writers 11 who know all that you do: 12 Surely the pious shall be in bliss, 13 And verily, the Fujjar (the wicked, disbelievers, sinners and evil-doers) will be in the blazing Fire (Hell), 14 which they will enter on the Day of Judgment 15 And never therefrom will they be absent. 16 And what shall make thee know whatsoever the Day of Requital is? 17 Then, what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 18 A day when no soul shall possess aught to succour another soul; that day the Command shall belong unto God. 19
