Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the heaven becomes cleft asunder, 1 and when the stars are scattered; 2 And when the oceans are swept away. 3 And when the graves are laid open, 4 every soul will see the result of its deeds - those recorded before his death and those which will produce either virtue or evil after his death. 5 O man! what hath beguiled thee concerning thy Lord, the Bountiful, 6 who has created thee, and formed thee in accordance with what thou art meant' to be, and shaped thy nature in just proportions, 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 No indeed; (the fact is that) you deny the Reckoning, declaring it a lie; 9 Surely, there are guardians watching over you, 10 Noble and recording; 11 who know whatever you do. 12 Behold, [in the life to come] the truly virtuous: will indeed be in bliss, 13 And the Wicked - they will be in the Fire, 14 [a fire] which they shall enter on Judgment Day, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 They will never be able to escape from it. Would that you knew what the Day of Judgment is! 17 Again, what will make you realize what the day of judgment is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
