The Galaxies (Al-Burooj)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven which contains the constellations. 1 And by the Promised Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 2 And by the Day witnessing and the Day witnessed, 3 the people of the pit were destroyed 4 of fire fiercely burning [for all who have attained to faith]! 5 When they were sitting at its edge. 6 witnessing what they were doing. 7 They took revenge on them only because they believed in the All-mighty, the Al-laudable, 8 God to whom belongs the Kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and God is Witness over everything. 9 Verily, those who put into trial the believing men and believing women (by torturing them and burning them), and then do not turn in repentance, (to Allah), will have the torment of Hell, and they will have the punishment of the burning Fire. 10 Surely for those who believe and do the right are gardens with rivers running by. That is the greatest success. 11 Verily the grip of thine Lord is severe. 12 It is verily He who initiates and repeats. 13 and He is the Ever Forgiving, the Most Loving 14 Master of the Honourable Throne. 15 Executor of His own will. 16 Hast thou received the story of the hosts, 17 Pharaoh and Thamood? 18 But they who disbelieve are in [persistent] denial, 19 While Allah encompasses them from behind. 20 Nay, but it is a glorious Koran, 21 in a Guarded Tablet. 22
