The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By heaven and the night-star! 1 How will you comprehend what the night star is? 2 - The piercing Star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 Proceeding from between the backbone and the ribs: 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By the Firmament which returns (in its round), 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They (disbelievers) plot every evil plan, 15 And I (too) will make a scheme. 16 Therefore respite the unbelievers, and delay them for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
End of Surah: The Comet (Al-Taareq). Sent down in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
