The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the heavens and that which comes in the night -- 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 he was created of gushing water 6 Issuing from (the pelvis) between the backbone and the ribs. 7 Indeed, Allah, to return him [to life], is Able. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 when he will be helpless, with no supporter. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 but I shall bring all their scheming to nought. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
