The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

I swear by the runners breathing pantingly, 1 and produce sparks 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 surely, man is ungrateful to his Lord. 6 And indeed he himself is a witness to it. 7 And verily in the love of wealth he is vehement, 8 ۞ Knoweth he not - when that which is in the graves shall be ransacked? 9 and all that is [hidden] in men's hearts is bared 10 On that day will their Lord be perfectly informed concerning them. 11
