The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)

11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

By the (Steeds) that run, with panting (breath), 1 striking sparks of fire with their hooves, 2 as they gallop to make raids at dawn, 3 and leave behind a cloud of dust 4 Then rush thereby upon an assembly: 5 Verily man is most ungrateful to his Lord; 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 And all what lies in the breasts is opened – 10 Surely, on that Day, they will know that their Lord had full knowledge of them all. 11
