And certainly did the companions of Thamud deny the messengers. 80 And though We had given them Our signs they turned away from them. 81 And they used to carve dwellings in the hills, without fear. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 And We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, except with the Truth; and indeed the Last Day will come, therefore (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), forbear graciously. 85 Surely your Lord is the Creator and knows (everything). 86 And assuredly We have vouchsafed unto thee seven of the repetitions and the mighty Qur'an. 87 So covet not things We have bestowed on a portion of them to enjoy, and do not grieve for them, and protect those who believe; 88 And say, "Indeed, I am the clear warner" - 89 Just as We had revealed [scriptures] to the separators 90 And severed their Scripture into fragments. 91 Therefore, by your Lord, We shall question every one of them. 92 for what they have done 93 Therefore expound openly what thou art commanded, and turn away from those who join false gods with Allah. 94 Verily We will suffice unto thee against the mockers. 95 who assert that there are, side by side with God, other divine powers as well: for in time they will come to know [the truth]. 96 And assuredly We know that thou straitenest thy breast by that which they say. 97 But glorify your Lord with His praise, and prostrate yourself: 98 and worship thy Sustainer till death comes to thee. 99
