Al-Hijjr 6 of 6
The people of Al-Hijr denied Our apostles; 80 We showed them miracles but they ignored them. 81 They used to hew out houses from the mountains and lived in security. 82 the blast overtook them early one morning. 83 All that they had acquired was of no avail to them. 84 We have not created the heavens and the earth and all that is in between them except with Truth. Surely the Hour will come. So, (O Muhammad), do graciously overlook them (despite their misdeeds). 85 Verily, your Lord is the All-Knowing Creator. 86 We have indeed given you the seven oft-repeated (examples), and the majestic Qur'an. 87 [so] turn, not thine eyes [longingly] towards the worldly benefits which We have granted unto some of those [that deny the truth]. And neither grieve over those [who refuse to heed thee,] but spread the wings of thy tenderness over the believers, 88 Say, "Indeed, I am simply one who warns." 89 (Of just such wrath) as We sent down on those who divided (Scripture into arbitrary parts),- 90 Those who have made the scripture bits. 91 By your Lord We shall question them one and all 92 For that which they have been working. 93 So proclaim that which thou art commanded, and withdraw from the idolaters. 94 We suffice you against those who mock, 95 even against those who set up with God another god. Certainly they will soon know! 96 We certainly know that you feel sad about what they say against you. 97 But hymn the praise of thy Lord, and be of those who make prostration (unto Him). 98 And keep worshipping your Lord, till death* comes to you. (* The certainty.) 99

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
