Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
۞ When the Sky is cleft asunder; 1 when the planets are scattered, 2 when the seas are made to burst forth, 3 and the graves are turned inside out, 4 Each soul will know what it had sent ahead and what it had left behind. 5 Human being, what evil has deceived you about your Gracious Lord, 6 Him Who created thee. Fashioned thee in due proportion, and gave thee a just bias; 7 In whatever Form He wills, does He put thee together. 8 Nay, but ye deny the Judgment. 9 Verify there are for you guardians, 10 Kind and honourable,- Writing down (your deeds): 11 They know (and understand) all that ye do. 12 Most surely the righteous are in bliss, 13 And verily the ungodly shall be in a Scorch. 14 They will [enter to] burn therein on the Day of Recompense, 15 And they shall by no means be absent from it. 16 And what can make you know what is the Day of Recompense? 17 Again, what will make you know what the Day of Recompense is? 18 It is the Day when no soul can do a thing for another soul. That Day, the command belongs to Allah. 19
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
