1/2 Hizb 28
< random >
۞ Allah commands justice, the doing of good, and liberality to kith and kin, and He forbids all shameful deeds, and injustice and rebellion: He instructs you, that ye may receive admonition. 90 And fulfill the Covenant of Allah (Bai'a: pledge for Islam) when you have covenanted, and break not the oaths after you have confirmed them, and indeed you have appointed Allah your surety. Verily! Allah knows what you do. 91 Do not, like the woman who unravels her yarn after its strands have been firmly spun, use your oaths as a means of deceiving one another, just because one community could become bigger than another. God is only testing you by means of this. On the Day of Resurrection He will make it clear to you what you differed about. 92 And if Allah had willed, He could have made you [of] one religion, but He causes to stray whom He wills and guides whom He wills. And you will surely be questioned about what you used to do. 93 And do not make your oaths phoney excuses between yourselves, so that a foot may not slip after being steadfast and you may taste evil because you were preventing from Allah’s way; and lest you be severely punished. 94 And purchase not a small gain at the price of Allah's covenant. Lo! that which Allah hath is better for you, if ye did but know. 95 What you have will perish, and that which is with Allah will remain forever; and indeed We shall pay the patiently enduring a recompense which befits the best of their deeds. 96 We shall invest whosoever works for good, whether man or woman, with a pleasant life, and reward them in accordance with the best of what they have done. 97 So when you recite the Qur'an, [first] seek refuge in Allah from Satan, the expelled [from His mercy]. 98 Satan has certainly no authority over the believers who have trust in their Lord. 99 His authority is only over those who befriend him and those who are in respect of Him associators. 100
