Man says, 'What, when I am dead shall I then be brought forth alive?' 66 Does man not remember that We created him before, while he was nothing? 67 So by your Lord, surely, We shall gather them together, and (also) the Shayatin (devils) (with them), then We shall bring them round Hell on their knees. 68 Then We shall pluck forth from every party whichever of them was the most hardened in disdain of the All-merciful; 69 Then surely it is We who are the Best Knower of these worthiest of being therein roasted. 70 And there is none among you who shall not pass over hell; this is an obligatory affair, binding upon your Lord. (Allah will make everyone pass over the back of hell – on a thin bridge.) 71 Then We shall save those who feared God, but the wrongdoers shall be left there on their knees. 72 And when Our Clear Verses are recited to them, those who disbelieve (the rich and strong among the pagans of Quraish who live a life of luxury) say to those who believe (the weak, poor companions of Prophet Muhammad SAW who have a hard life): "Which of the two groups (i.e. believers and disbelievers) is best in (point of) position and as regards station (place of council for consultation)." 73 And how many a generation have We destroyed before these, who were goodlier in goods and outward appearance? 74 Say: "As for him who lives in error, may the Most Gracious lengthen the span of his life! [And let them say whatever they say until the time when they behold that [doom] of which they were forewarned - whether it be suffering [in this world] or [at the coming of] the Last Hour - for then they will understand which [of the two kinds of man] was worse in station and weaker in resources! 75 God increases His guidance to those who follow guidance; and lasting good works are better in the sight of your Lord and are most rewarding. 76 Hast thou then seen the (sort of) man who rejects Our Signs, yet says: "I shall certainly be given wealth and children?" 77 Has he gained knowledge of the Unseen? Or taken a covenant with the Merciful? 78 By no means! We shall write down that which he saith; and We shall lengthen for him of the torment a length. 79 And We will inherit him [in] what he mentions, and he will come to Us alone. 80 And they have chosen (other) gods beside Allah that they may be a power for them. 81 Nay, but they will deny their worship of them, and become opponents unto them. 82
