T H (Taa Haa)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
۞ Ta' Ha' 1 We have not Sent down on thee the Qur'an that thou shouldst be distressed. 2 But as a reminder unto him who feareth, 3 It is a sending down from Him who has created the earth, and the high heavens, 4 The Most Compassionate Lord is settled on the Throne (of the Universe). 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth, all that lies between them, and lies below the earth. 6 And if thou say anything aloud, [He hears it] since, behold, He knows [even] the secret [thoughts of man] as well as all that is yet more hidden [within him]. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 And has the story of Moses reached you? - 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he came to it, a voice cried, 'Moses, 11 Verily I! I am thy Lord: so take off thy shoes; verily thou art into the holy valley, Tuwa. 12 And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed: 13 I Am the only God. Worship Me and be steadfast in prayer to have My name always in your mind. 14 Indeed, the Hour is coming - I almost conceal it - so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 15 Do not let those who disbelieve in it and follow their desires bar you from it, or you will perish. 16 And what is in your right hand, O Moses?" 17 He answered: "It is my staff; I lean on it; and with it I beat down leaves for my sheep; and [many] other uses have I for it." 18 He said: Cast it down, O Musa! 19 So he threw it - and lo! it was a snake, moving rapidly. 20 Allah said:"Grasp it, and fear not, We shall return it to its former state, 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 But We shall show you some of Our greatest signs. 23 "Go to Fir'aun (Pharaoh)! Verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience, and has behaved as an arrogant, and as a tyrant)." 24
