۞ Ta Ha 1 We have not sent down the Quran unto you (O Muhammad SAW) to cause you distress, 2 But only as an admonition to those who fear (Allah),- 3 A revelation from Him Who created the earth and the heavens on high. 4 the All-compassionate sat Himself upon the Throne; to Him belongs 5 To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and all that is on the earth, and all that is between them, and all that is under the soil. 6 Whether you speak aloud [or in a low voice], He hears all, for He knows your secrets and what is even more hidden. 7 Allah! no God there is but he! His are the names excellent. 8 Hath there come unto thee the story of Musa? 9 When he saw a fire and said to his family: "Hold on! I have just perceived a fire; perhaps I will bring a brand from it for you, or I will find some guidance at the fire about the way to follow." 10 When he came close to it, a voice called out, "Moses, 11 Verily, I am thy Sustainer! Take off, then, thy sandals! Behold, thou art in the twice hallowed valley, 12 I have chosen you. So listen to what is being revealed. 13 Indeed, I am Allah. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 14 Verily the Hour is coming - I wish to conceal it - in order that every one may be requited according to that which he hath endeavoured. 15 Let him who does not believe in it and follows his lust not turn your thought away from it, lest you are ruined. 16 "And what is that in your right hand, O Musa (Moses)?" 17 "It's my staff," he answered; "I lean on it, and fell leaves for my goats with it, and I have other uses for it." 18 Said He, 'Cast it down, Moses!' 19 and he cast it down, and behold it was a serpent sliding. 20 He said: Take hold of it and fear not; We will restore it to its former state: 21 And thrust thy hand within thine armpit, it will come forth white without hurt. (That will be) another token. 22 That We may go on showing you Our greater signs. 23 “Go to Firaun, he has rebelled.” 24
