The Poets (Alshu'araa')
227 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Inevitable (Al-Waaqe'ah) before The Ant (Al-Naml)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Ta, Seen, Meem. 1 These are the verses of the Book that makes things clear. 2 Perhaps you will kill yourself with grief because they do not believe. 3 If We will, We can send down on them from the sky a portent so that their necks would remain bowed before it. 4 Never does there come to them an admonition from the Merciful Lord but they turn away from it. 5 So they have cried lies; therefore assuredly tidings will come to them of that they mocked at. 6 Have they not seen the earth in which We have made gracious plants grow? 7 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 8 And verily, thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 9
