And recite to them the tiding of Abraham 69 when he asked his father and his people, "What is that which you worship?" 70 They said: "We worship idols, and we remain constantly in attendance on them." 71 He said, 'Do they hear you when you call, 72 or benefit you or do you harm?" 73 They said: "No. But we found our fathers doing so." 74 He said: See now that which ye worship, 75 "Ye and your fathers before you?- 76 "For they are enemies to me; not so the Lord and Cherisher of the Worlds; 77 Who hath created me, and He guideth me. 78 “And the One Who feeds me and gives me to drink.” 79 and when I fall ill, is the One who restores me to health, 80 And who will cause me to die and then bring me to life 81 And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense." 82 My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 and grant me the power to convey the truth unto those who will come after me, 84 Make me one of the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss 85 Forgive me and my father: He was surely among those who went astray. 86 And do not disgrace me on the day when they are raised from the graves, 87 the Day when nothing will avail, neither wealth nor offspring, 88 Except him who brings to Allah a clean heart [clean from Shirk (polytheism) and Nifaq (hypocrisy)]. 89 Paradise will be brought near those who take heed for themselves and follow the straight path; 90 whereas the blazing fire will be laid open before those who had been lost in grievous error; 91 And it will be said unto them: Where is (all) that ye used to worship 92 “Instead of Allah? Will they help you or retaliate?” 93 Thereupon they will be hurled into hell - they, as well as all [others] who had been lost in grievous error, 94 and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 95 "They will say there in their mutual bickerings: 96 By Allah! we were certainly in manifest error, 97 When we made you equal to the Lord of the worlds; 98 It was naught but the sinners that led us astray; 99 We have no one to intercede for us before God 100 no caring friend. 101 “So if only were we to go back, in order to become Muslims!” 102 In all this, behold, there is a message [unto men,] even though most of them will not believe [in it]. 103 And verily, your Lord! He is truly the All-Mighty, the Most Merciful. 104

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
