And most surely this is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 192 the Faithful Spirit has brought it down 193 upon your heart (Prophet Muhammad), in order to be one of the warners, 194 It has been revealed in plain Arabic. 195 And verily, [the essence of] this [revelation] is indeed found in the ancient books of divine wisdom [as well]. 196 Is it not evidence enough for them that [so many] learned men from among the children of Israel have recognized this [as true]? 197 Had We revealed it to a non-Arab 198 and he had recited it to them, they would not have believed in it. 199 Thus have We caused this (Admonition) to penetrate the hearts of the culprits (like a hot rod). 200 They will not believe it until they behold the painful punishment. 201 But when it comes upon them suddenly, taking them unawares, 202 Then will they say: "Can we be given respite?" 203 Do they then ask for Our Penalty to be hastened on? 204 Seest thou? If We do let them enjoy (this life) for a few years, 205 Yet there comes to them at length the (Punishment) which they were promised! 206 What shall that which they enjoyed avail them? 207 We never destroyed any habitation but that it had warners 208 By way of admonition, and We have never been oppressors. 209 It was not the satans who brought it down: 210 It is not allowable for them, nor would they be able. 211 Verily far from hearing are they removed. 212 So call not thou unto another god along with Allah, lest thou be of the doomed. 213 And warn thy clan, thy nearest kin. 214 and spread the wings of thy tenderness over all of the believers who may follow thee; 215 but if they disobey thee, say: "I am free of responsibility for aught that you may do!" 216 Put thy trust in the All-mighty, the All-compassionate 217 who sees you when you stand up [for prayer], 218 and when you turn among those who prostrate themselves. 219 He is all-hearing and all-knowing. 220 Shall I inform you (of him) upon whom the Shaitans descend? 221 They descend upon all sinful self-deceivers 222 who readily lend ear [to every falsehood,] and most of whom lie to others as well. 223 And the poets - [only] the deviators follow them; 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 And they speak what they do not do? 226 Except those who believe and do good and remember Allah much, and defend themselves after they are oppressed; and they who act unjustly shall know to what final place of turning they shall turn back. 227
