We sent Noah to his people, and he lived with them a thousand years minus fifty. Then they were caught by the deluge for they were evil. 14 And We rescued him and those with him in the ship, and made of it a portent for the peoples. 15 Abraham told his people, "Worship God and have fear of Him. It is better for you if only you knew it. 16 “You worship only idols instead of Allah, and only forge a clear lie; indeed those whom you worship instead of Allah do not control your sustenance – therefore seek your sustenance from Allah, and worship Him, and be grateful to Him; it is towards Him that you will be returned.” 17 If you belie me, other nations before you also belied. It is only for a Messenger to deliver the clear deliverance. 18 Have they not seen how God begins the creation and then turns it back? This is not difficult at all for God. 19 Say, [O Muhammad], "Travel through the land and observe how He began creation. Then Allah will produce the final creation. Indeed Allah, over all things, is competent." 20 He punishes whomever He wills and has mercy upon whomever He wills; and towards Him only you are to return. 21 Escape Him you cannot either in the earth or in the sky; and you have no friend or helper apart from God. 22
