Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Alif, Lam, Meem. 1 These are the verses of the sagacious Book, 2 As guidance and mercy for the doers of good 3 people who are steadfast in prayer, pay the religious tax, and have firm belief in the life to come. 4 Those are on [right] guidance from their Lord, and it is those who are the successful. 5 But among men are also those who spread frivolous stories to mislead (others) from the way of God, without any knowledge, and take it lightly. For such as these the nemesis will be shameful. 6 When Our verses are recited to such a person, he arrogantly turns away, as though he had not heard them, or as though there was a deafness in his ears. So announce to him the tidings of a grievous chastisement. 7 Indeed, those who believe and do righteous deeds - for them are the Gardens of Pleasure. 8 Wherein they will abide. It is a promise of Allah in truth. He is the Mighty, the Wise. 9 He created the heavens without any pillars visible to you and He placed mountains in the earth as pegs lest it should turn topsy turvy with you, and He dispersed all kinds of animals over the earth, and sent down water from the sky causing all kinds of excellent plants to grow on it. 10 this is God's creation. Show me then what those besides Him have created! The wrongdoers are in manifest error. 11
