The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By those who set the ranks in battle order 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 And those who read (the Word) for a reminder, 3 Most surely your Allah is One: 4 The Lord of the heavens and the earth and all that lies between them, and the Lord of the Easts. 5 Lo! We have adorned the lowest heaven with an ornament, the planets; 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except those who eavesdrop and are pursued by a shooting flame. 10 Then inquire of them, [O Muhammad], "Are they a stronger [or more difficult] creation or those [others] We have created?" Indeed, We created men from sticky clay. 11 But you wonder, while they mock, 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And say: "This is only magic. 15 Is it ever possible that after we die and are reduced to dust and (a skeleton of) bones, we will be raised to life? 16 along with our forefathers?" 17 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Yes, and you shall then be humiliated." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 They will say, "O woe to us! This is the Day of Recompense." 20 (A voice will say,) "This is the Day of Sorting Out, whose truth ye (once) denied!" 21
