3/4 Hizb 45

Noah called for help. How blessed was the answer which he received. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 And We made his offspring the survivors. 77 We left mention of him among later generations. 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Thus indeed do we reward those who do right. 80 for he was truly one of our believing servants: 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a sound heart 84 and asked his father and his people, "What is that you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood- gods other than Allah- that ye desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars, 88 and said: 'Surely, I am sick (of what you worship)' 89 So they turned away from him, departing. 90 Thereupon he approached their gods stealthily and said, "What! You do not eat [of the offerings placed before you]? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 And then he fell upon them, smiting them with his right hand. 93 whereupon people came to him running. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 the while it is God who has created you and all your handiwork?" 96 They spoke among themselves: “Build him a pyre and then throw him into the furnace.” 97 So they plotted a plot against him, but We made them the lowest. 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 We therefore gave him the glad tidings of an intelligent son. 101 And [one day,] when [the child] had become old enough to share in his [father's] endeavours, the latter said: "O my dear son! I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice thee: consider, then, what would be thy view!" [Ishmael] answered: "O my father! Do as thou art bidden: thou wilt find me, if God so wills, among those who are patient in adversity!" 102 Then, when they had both submitted themselves (to the Will of Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (or on the side of his forehead for slaughtering); 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 This is indeed the manifest trial.' 106 And We rescued him in exchange of a great sacrifice. (The sacrifice of Ibrahim and Ismail peace be upon them is commemorated every year on 10, 11 and 12 Zil Haj). 107 And We left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations (to come) in later times. 108 Peace be unto Abraham! 109 Thus do We reward the good. 110 He is truly among Our faithful creatures. 111 So We gave him the good news of Isaac, apostle, who is among the righteous. 112 And We showered Our blessings on him and on Ishaq; and of their offspring are the doers of good, and (also) those who are clearly unjust to their own souls. 113
