Al-Saaffaat 4 of 5
And We did certainly confer favor upon Moses and Aaron. 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them the divine writ that made [right and wrong] distinct, 117 And We guided them both on the right way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 Recall what time he said unto his people: fear ye not? 124 Would you call on Baal and leave the best of creators, 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 So also was Lut among those sent (by Us). 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 Save an old woman among those who stayed behind; 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 You pass by (their habitations) in the morning 137 and at night. Will you then not understand? 138
