The people of the Wood too called the messengers liars. 176 when Shuaib said to them, 'Will you not be godfearing? 177 "I am to you a messenger worthy of all trust. 178 So fear Allah, and obey me. 179 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 180 ۞ Give full measure, and be not of those who give less (than the due). 181 "And weigh with scales true and upright. 182 and do not defraud people in their property or spread evil in the land. 183 "And fear Him Who created you and the generations of the men of old." 184 They said, 'Thou art merely one of those that are bewitched; 185 for thou art nothing but a mortal like ourselves! And behold, we think that thou art a consummate liar! 186 Let a part of the sky fall on us if what you say is true". 187 He. said: My Lord is the Best Knower of that which ye work. 188 Then they branded him a liar, whereupon the chastisement of the Day of Canopy overtook them. It was the chastisement of a very awesome day. 189 Verily in that is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 190 And lo! thy Lord! He is indeed the Mighty, the Merciful. 191
