Again (of old) We bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron, 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 We helped them, and they became victorious, 116 We gave them the explicit Book, 117 And showed them the right path. 118 and preserved for them a good name among posterity. 119 "Peace upon Moses and Aaron." 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 When he said unto his folk: Will ye not ward off (evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they gave him the lie: and therefore they will most surely be arraigned [on Judgment Day,] 127 Except the sincere and devoted Servants of Allah (among them). 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 "Peace upon Elias." 130 It is thus indeed that We reward those who do good: 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And lo! Lot verily was of those sent (to warn). 133 [So mention] when We saved him and his family, all, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and then We utterly destroyed the others: 136 And surely ye pass by them in the morning. 137 And at night. Then will you not use reason? 138
