We certainly bestowed Our favor upon Moses and Aaron 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 We succoured them, and they gained the upper hand (against their enemies). 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them to the straight path; 118 And We perpetuated (praise) to them among the later generations. 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Elijah too was one of the messengers. 123 When he said to his people, “Do you not fear?” 124 Do you call on Ba'lan (the idol Baal) and abandon the Best Creator, 125 Allah, your Lord and the Lord of your first forefathers?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Save single-minded slaves of Allah. 128 And We left for him among the posterity: 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Verily, thus do We reward the doers of good 131 surely he was one of Our believing servants. 132 And indeed Lut is one of the Noble Messengers. 133 When We saved him and his household, every one, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 then We destroyed the others, 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and night: will you not take heed? 138
