Hizb 46
< random >
And indeed Yunus is one of the Noble Messengers. 139 [Mention] when he ran away to the laden ship. 140 cast lots, and was among the losers. 141 Then a fish swallowed him, and he was blameworthy. 142 But had it not been that he was of those who glorify (Us), 143 He would certainly have tarried in its belly to the day when they are raised. 144 ۞ But We threw him on a wide bare tract of land while he was ill; 145 And We caused to grow over him a gourd vine. 146 and We sent him forth to a nation of a hundred thousand or more, 147 So they accepted faith We therefore gave them usage for a while. 148 Now ask thou them: are there for thy Lord daughters and for them sons? 149 Did We create the angels as females the while they witnessed?” 150 Is it not that they say, from their own invention, 151 “Allah has begotten.” They are liars! 152 “Has he chosen daughters instead of sons?” 153 What is amiss with you and your judgment? 154 Do you not understand? 155 Or have you, perchance, a clear evidence [for your assertions]? 156 Then bring your book, if you are truthful. 157 And they have invented a blood-relationship between Him and the Jinns: but the Jinns know (quite well) that they have indeed to appear (before his Judgment-Seat)! 158 Glory be to God above that they describe, 159 Except the slaves of Allah, whom He choses (for His Mercy i.e. true believers of Islamic Monotheism who do not attribute false things unto Allah). 160 But as for you, and that you worship, 161 you shall not tempt any against Him 162 Save him Who is to roast in the Flaming Fire. 163 The angels say, "Each of us has an appointed place. 164 "And we are truly those who stand in rows, 165 We glorify God." 166 They say, 167 "If only we had had before us a Message from those of old, 168 We would be single-minded slaves of Allah. 169 but they have rejected it, [the Quran] and they shall soon learn! 170 And surely Our word has gone forth respecting Our servants, the messengers: 171 will certainly be victorious 172 And [that] indeed, Our soldiers will be those who overcome. 173 So you ignore them for a time 174 and see them [for what they are]; and in time they [too] will come to see [what they do not see now]. 175 What, do they seek to hasten Our chastisement? 176 When it descends upon their courtyards, evil will be the morning of those forewarned. 177 So turn thou from them for a while, 178 And see thou: they themselves shall presently see. 179 Glory to thy Lord, the Lord of Honour and Power! (He is free) from what they ascribe (to Him)! 180 And peace is upon the Noble Messengers. 181 and all praise be to Allah, the Lord of the Universe. 182
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
End of Surah: The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat). Sent down in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
ColorfulQuran.com displays pages in one of three Arabic fonts. Each may appear with a one-third chance, adding more diversity to the already diverse colors. And the words remain unchanged forever. ColorfulQuran.com will have more beautiful fonts soon, God willing.
