S (Saad)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
Sad. By the renowned Qur'an, 1 Nay, those who desbelieve are in false pride and opposition. 2 How many a generation have We destroyed afore them, and they cried when there was not time of fleeing. 3 They were surprised that one of them had come to them as warner; and the unbelievers said: "He is a deceiving sorcerer. 4 "Has he made the aliha (gods) (all) into One Ilah (God - Allah). Verily, this is a curious thing!" 5 Their assembly left (saying): 'Go, and be patient to your gods, this is something to be desired. 6 “We never heard of this even in Christianity, the latest religion; this is clearly a newly fabricated matter.” 7 Hath the reminder been unto him (alone) among us? Nay, but they are in doubt concerning My reminder; nay but they have not yet tasted My doom. 8 Or have they the treasures of the Mercy of your Lord, the All-Mighty, the Real Bestower? 9 Is the kingdom of the heavens and the earth and all that is between them, for them? So would they not just ascend using ropes? 10 The army is defeated as (were) the confederates. 11 Before them, the people of Nooh had denied, and the tribe of A’ad, and Firaun who used to crucify. 12 And Thamud, and the people of Lout (Lot), and the dwellers of the wood; such were the confederates. 13 Each of them denied the messengers, so My penalty was justified. 14
