And remember Our slave Ayub (Job), when he invoked his Lord (saying): "Verily! Shaitan (Satan) has touched me with distress (by losing my health) and torment (by losing my wealth)! 41 (The command was given:) "Strike with thy foot: here is (water) wherein to wash, cool and refreshing, and (water) to drink." 42 And We bestowed his household to him and one more similar to it – as a mercy from Us, and as a remembrance for the people of intellect. 43 [We said], "And take in your hand a bunch [of grass] and strike with it and do not break your oath." Indeed, We found him patient, an excellent servant. Indeed, he was one repeatedly turning back [to Allah]. 44 And make mention of Our bondmen, Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, men of parts and vision. 45 Lo! We purified them with a pure thought, remembrance of the Home (of the Hereafter). 46 They are the chosen ones, the excellent in Our sight. 47 And remember Ishmael, Elisha and Dhu'l-Kifl. Every one of them is among the best. 48 This is a reminder; and most surely there is an excellent resort for those who guard (against evil), 49 Gardens of Eden, whereof the gates are open to them, 50 Reclining on pillows, in it they ask for fruits and drinks in plenty. 51 ۞ with them, they will have pure, modest women of an equal age. 52 'This is what you are promised on the Day of Recompense, 53 Our provision for you will never be exhausted. 54 All of this; but, for the proud there is an ill return. 55 Hell, where they will be roasted. An evil place to dwell! 56 all this will be theirs; let them taste it -- a scalding, dark, foul fluid, 57 and other similar to it, joined together. 58 This is a troop entering with you (in Hell), no welcome for them! Verily, they shall burn in the Fire! 59 (The followers shall cry to the misleaders:) "Nay, ye (too)! No welcome for you! It is ye who have brought this upon us! Now evil is (this) place to stay in!" 60 They will say: "Our Lord! Whoever brought this upon us, add to him a double torment in the Fire!" 61 And they say, “What is the matter with us that we do not see the men whom we thought were evil?” 62 Was it that we (only) took them in scorn, or have our eyes (now) turned aside from them? 63 Surely that is true the disputing of the inhabitants of the Fire 64
