And the man who believed said: "O my people! Follow me, I will guide you to the way of right conduct [i.e. guide you to Allah's religion of Islamic Monotheism with which Musa (Moses) has been sent]. 38 “O my people! The life of this world is just a brief usage, and indeed the next abode is one of everlasting stay.” 39 Whoever does an evil, he shall not be recompensed (with aught) but the like of it, and whoever does good, whether male or female, and he is a believer, these shall enter the garden, in which they shall be given sustenance without measure. 40 ۞ My people, how is it that I call you to salvation while you call me to the Fire; 41 you call me to deny Allah and to associate with Him as His partners those regarding whom I have no knowledge (that they are Allah's partners in His Divinity), whereas I call you to the Most Mighty, the Most Forgiving? 42 There is no doubt that what you call me to has neither a call in this world, nor in the Everlasting Life. To Allah we shall return, and the excessive sinners are the inhabitants of the Fire. 43 Soon you shall remember what I say to you. I entrust my affairs to Allah. Surely Allah is watchful over His servants.” 44 So Allah protected him from the evil (consequences) of what they planned, and the most evil punishment overtook Firon's people: 45 they will be brought before the Fire morning and evening. On the Day the Hour comes, [a voice will cry], "Mete out to Pharaoh's people the harshest punishment!" 46 And when they shall contend one with another in the fire, then the weak shall say to those who were proud: Surely we were your followers; will you then avert from us a portion of the fire? 47 But those who had been arrogant will say, "We are all in this together. God has judged between His servants." 48 And those who are in the fire said to its guards, “Pray to your Lord to decrease the punishment upon us for one day.” 49 They will say: "Did not your apostles come to you with clear proofs?" They will answer: "Indeed, they did." "Then pray," will (the warders) say. But the praying of unbelievers will be all in vain. 50
