Have you not seen how those who dispute the revelations of God, turn away from Truth to falsehood? 69 Those who deny the Book and that with which We sent Our messengers - they are going to know, 70 When, with (iron) collars and chains around their necks, they will be dragged 71 In boiling water; they will then be ignited* in the fire. (Like fuel – see verse 2:24) 72 and then they will be asked, "Where are those whom you associated [with God]?" 73 "Besides Allah" They will say: "They have vanished from us: Nay, we did not invoke (worship) anything before." Thus Allah leads astray the disbelievers. 74 “This is the recompense of your being happy upon falsehood in the earth, and the recompense of your conceit.” 75 Enter the gates of hell to live therein forever. How terrible is the dwelling of the arrogant ones. 76 So be patient, surely the promise of Allah is true. So should We make you see part of what We threaten them with, or should We cause you to die, to Us shall they be returned. 77 Indeed We sent many Messengers before you: of them there are some whose account We have narrated to you and there are others whose account We have not narrated to you. It did not lie in any Messenger's power to bring any Sign except with Allah's leave. So when Allah's decree came, the matter was decided with justice, and those steeped in error courted utter loss, then and there. 78
