Whoso blinds himself to the Remembrance of the All-merciful, to him We assign a Satan for comrade; 36 And verily they hinder them from the way, whilst they deem that they are rightly guided. 37 Until when he cometh unto Us, he will say. Ah! would that there had been between me and thee, the distance of the east and the west an evil companion 38 It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allah's remembrance and His worship, etc.) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarin) in the punishment. 39 Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error? 40 So if We take you away, We shall then indeed take revenge from them. 41 Or show you what We have promised them – We therefore have complete control over them. 42 So hold thou fast to the Revelation sent down to thee; verily thou art on a Straight Way. 43 And verily it is an admonition unto thee and thy people; and presently ye will be questioned. 44 Inquire of apostles We had sent before you if We appointed gods to be worshipped other than Ar-Rahman. 45
