And indeed We saved the Children of Israel from the humiliating torment, 30 From Fir'awn; verily he was haughty and of the extravagant. 31 We knowingly chose them above all other people 32 And We gave them of the communications wherein was clear blessing. 33 Verily, these (Quraish) people are saying: 34 There is naught but our first death, and we shall not be raised again. 35 Bring then our fathers if ye say so. 36 Are they better than the people of Tubba' and those who came before them? We destroyed them, because they were guilty of sin. 37 And We did not create the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, just for play. 38 We have created them for a genuine purpose, but most people do not know. 39 Indeed the Day of Decision is the appointment for all of them. 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 Save those on whom Allah will have mercy. Verily He! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 42
