The tree of Zaqqum 43 Is the food of the sinners. 44 It will be like molted brass which will boil in the bellies 45 As the seething of boiling water. 46 [It will be commanded], "Seize him and drag him into the midst of the Hellfire, 47 Then pour over his head from the torment of scalding water." 48 They will be told, "Suffer the torment. You had thought yourselves to be majestic and honorable. 49 Indeed, this is what you used to dispute." 50 [As against this] verily, the God-conscious will find themselves in a state secure, 51 Among Gardens and Springs; 52 They shall wear of fine and thick silk, (sitting) face to face; 53 so it will be. We shall wed them to maidens with large, dark eyes. 54 There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security; 55 They will not taste death therein except the first death, and He will have protected them from the punishment of Hellfire 56 As bounty from your Lord. That is what is the great attainment. 57 (O Prophet), We have made this Book easy in your tongue so that they may take heed. 58 Wait, then; they too are waiting. 59
