Q (Qaaf)
45 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat) before The Town (Al-Balad)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Qaf. By the glorious Koran! 1 But they wonder that there has come to them a Warner from among themselves. So the Unbelievers say: "This is a wonderful thing! 2 What, when we are dead and turned to dust? That indeed would be an unlikely return' 3 We know all that the earth takes away of them, and a Book of Records is with Us. 4 Nay, but they have denied the truth when it came unto them, therefor they are now in troubled case. 5 Have they not looked at the heaven above them - how We structured it and adorned it and [how] it has no rifts? 6 We spread out the earth and set upon it firm mountains, and We cause every delightful thing to grow in it 7 thus offering an insight and a reminder unto every human being who willingly turns unto God. 8 We sent down blessed water from the sky with which We caused gardens and the grains of harvest to grow, 9 and tall palm-trees with their thickly-clustered dates, 10 As a provision for our bondmen; and therewith We have quickened a dead land. Even so will be the coming forth. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 As did the people of 'Ad and Pharaoh and the brethren of Lot, 13 dwellers of the forest, and the people of Tubba had all rejected the Prophets. Thus, they became subject to Our torment. 14 Were We then weary with the first Creation, that they should be in confused doubt about a new Creation? 15

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
