So remind [O Muhammad], for you are not, by the favor of your Lord, a soothsayer or a madman. 29 Do they say: "He is a poet for whom we expect an adverse turn of fortune?" 30 Say: Wait, for surely I too with you am of those who wait. 31 Or, do their intellects order them to do this? Or, are they an insolent people? 32 Or do they say: "He (Muhammad SAW) has forged it (this Quran)?" Nay! They believe not! 33 Let them produce a discourse like it if they are true in their claim. 34 Were they created of nothing, or were they themselves the creators? 35 Did they create the heavens and the earth? No! They have no faith. 36 Or are with them the treasures of your Lord? Or are they the tyrants with the authority to do as they like? 37 Or do they have any stairs, climbing upon which they eavesdrop? So their eavesdropper should bring some clear proof! 38 Has (God) daughters and they sons? 39 Or is it that you (O Muhammad SAW) ask a wage from them (for your preaching of Islamic Monotheism) so that they are burdened with a load of debt? 40 Or that the Unseen in it their hands, and they write it down? 41 Seek they to lay a plot? Then those who disbelieve it is they who shall be plotted against. 42 Or have they any god beside Allah? Glorified be Allah from all that they ascribe as partner (unto Him)! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 So leave them alone till they meet their Day, in which they will sink into a fainting (with horror). 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And verily, for those who do wrong, there is a punishment beyond that. But most of them know not. 47 Be patient, then, (O Prophet), until the judgement of your Lord comes. For surely you are before Our eyes. And celebrate the praise of your Lord when you rise, 48 And for part of the night also praise thou Him,- and at the retreat of the stars! 49
