The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 It will engulf them. 8 in its long columns of flames. 9
