(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 And gives a little and (then) withholds. 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Or is he not informed with what is in the Pages (Scripture) of Musa (Moses), 36 and Abraham, who paid his debt in full? 37 That no burdened person (with sins) shall bear the burden (sins) of another. 38 and that man shall have only that for which he strives; 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 and in the end he will be repaid for it in full; 41 And that to your Lord is the goal- 42 It is He who causes laughter and weeping. 43 and that it is He who causes to die, and causes to live 44 and that He Himself created the two kinds, male and female, 45 From a drop (of seed) when it is poured forth; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He (Allah) Who gives much or a little (or gives wealth and contentment), 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius, 49 That it was He who destroyed the 'Ad of old, 50 and Thamood, sparing no one, 51 and before them the people of Noah who were even more unjust and insolent; 52 And He destroyed the Overthrown Cities (of Sodom and Gomorrah). 53 So they were covered with whatever covered them? 54 Then which of the gifts of thy Lord, (O man,) wilt thou dispute about? 55 This is a warner, of the warners of old. 56 The Day of Resurrection draws near, 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Marvel ye then at this statement, 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 while you make merry? 61 Prostrate yourselves before Allah, and serve Him. ۩ 62
