Thamood cried lies to the Envoys 141 Recall when their brother Salih said to them: "Have you no fear?" 142 I am a trustworthy Messengers sent to you. 143 So keep your duty to Allah and obey me. 144 “And I do not ask from you any fee for it; my reward is only upon the Lord Of The Creation.” 145 Will you be left secure in what is here; 146 amidst gardens and fountains, 147 farms, and palm-trees in thick groves, 148 "And you carve houses out of mountains with great skill. 149 So fear Allah and obey me. 150 and pay no heed to the counsel of those who are given to excesses 151 “Those who spread turmoil in the earth, and do no reform.” 152 They said: You are only of the deluded ones; 153 You are but a human like ourselves. Produce for us a sign, if you are of the truthful' 154 He said: "Here is a she-camel: she has a right of watering, and ye have a right of watering, (severally) on a day appointed. 155 Do not treat her unkindly or the punishment of a grievous day will fall on you." 156 But they hamstrung her and so became regretful. 157 But the Penalty seized them. Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 158 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 159
