The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the heavens and al-tariq. 1 And what will make you know what the comer by night is? 2 It is the star that pierces through [life's] darkness: 3 Over every soul there is a watcher. 4 So let man consider of what he was created; 5 He was created of a gushing fluid, 6 issuing from between the loins [of man] and the pelvic arch [of woman]. 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 So man will neither have any strength nor any aide. 10 So I call to witness the rain-producing sky, 11 and by the earth bursting with vegetation; 12 It is surely a decisive utterance; 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 but I too plan against them. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
