The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
78 verses, revealed in Medina after Thunder (Al-Ra'ad) before The Human (Al-Insan)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ The Beneficent 1 Hath made known the Qur'an. 2 He created man 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon are made punctual. 5 And the herbs and the trees - both (alike) prostrate in adoration. 6 He raised the heavens and set up everything in balance, 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 and weigh with justice, and skimp not in the Balance.) 9 And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruits, date-palms producing sheathed fruit-stalks (enclosing dates). 11 and grains with their husk and fragrant plants. 12 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 13 He created the human being from clay like that used for pottery 14 whereas the invisible beings He has created out of a confusing flame of fire. 15 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 18 He unleashed the two seas so that they merge together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which, then, of the benefits of your Lord will ye twain belie? 21 There cometh forth from both of them the pearl and coral-stone. 22 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 23 To Him only belong the sailing ships, raised above the sea like hills. 24 Which of the favours of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 25

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
