۞ Nay, I swear by the setting of the stars -- 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 no one can touch it except the purified ones. 79 A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 And make denial thereof your livelihood? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 and you are watching at that time 84 (And We are nigher him than you, but you do not see Us) 85 Then why do ye not,- If you are exempt from (future) account,- 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Then if the dying one is of those having proximity, – 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 it will be with the people of the right hand, living in peace and security. 91 But if one happens to be of those who are wont to call the truth a lie, and [thus] go astray, 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Verily, this is the Very Truth and Certainly. 95 So exalt the Name of your Lord, the Great. 96
