So I do call to witness what ye see, 38 and by what you do not see, 39 That this is indeed the word of the noble Messenger, 40 And not the word of a poet. How little is it that you believe! 41 Nor is it the word of a soothsayer -- how little you reflect! 42 [It is] a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. 43 And if he [i.e., the Prophets] had forged this Discourse and thereafter ascribed it to Us, 44 We would have seized him by the right hand 45 and would indeed have cut his life-vein, 46 and not one of you could have defended him. 47 And verily, this Quran is a Reminder for the Muttaqun (pious - see V. 2:2). 48 We know that there are some among you who will belie. 49 and surely it will be a cause of regret for the unbelievers. 50 for, verily, it is truth absolute! 51 So glorify the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 52
