Al-Naze'aat 2 of 2
What! Are ye the more difficult to create or the heaven (above)? (Allah) hath constructed it: 27 He hath raised the height thereof and perfected it. 28 And He made dark its night and brought out its light. 29 And the earth! thereafter He stretched it out. 30 after that bringing forth from it its water and its pasture land, 31 And the mountains, He made them firm, 32 an enjoyment for you and your flocks. 33 But when the Great Catastrophe comes, 34 The Day when man shall remember (all) that he strove for, 35 and when Hell is advanced for whoever sees, 36 Then as for him who is inordinate, 37 And preferred the life of this world (by following his evil desires and lusts), 38 most surely his abode shall be Hell. 39 However, those who had feared their Lord and restrained their souls from acting according to its desires. 40 surely Paradise shall be the refuge. 41 (Muhammad), they ask you, "When will the Hour of Doom come?" 42 What concern do you have regarding its explanation? (You are not bound to tell them) 43 Unto thy Lord belongeth (knowledge of) the term thereof. 44 Thou art but a Warner for such as fear it. 45 The Day they see it, (it will be) as if they had not tarried (in this world) except an afternoon or a morning. 46

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
